Amber Taverns is delighted to announce the opening of Tin Mill, our brand-new community pub in the heart of Whitchurch, Cardiff. After transforming a once-empty venue into a stunning new local in just 10 weeks, the doors officially opened today—bringing a fresh social hub to the area just in time for Christmas.
With a focus on providing great value, great drinks, and a warm welcome, Tin Mill promises to become a go-to meeting place for friends, families, sports fans, and the wider community.

A Warm Welcome From a Cracking New Team
The pub is led by Operator Jayson, who has assembled what he proudly calls “13 cracking members of staff”. The team has been training together throughout the build-up to opening day, ensuring a smooth launch and a fantastic experience for customers from the moment they step inside.

Darts, Entertainment & Live Sport
Tin Mill opens with a strong emphasis on entertainment and social activity:
Two brand-new darts boards are ready for play, with two darts teams already scheduled to start on Monday.
The first live singer, Chris Phillips, is booked for 20th December, kicking off what will be a regular programme of entertainment.
Sports fans are well catered for. Tin Mill can show multiple live games at the same time across its screens—whether it’s rugby, football, horse racing or any other major sporting event.

A Pub Brought Back to Life
The building was vacant before Amber Taverns took it on, but in just a matter of weeks our teams have delivered a full transformation—turning an empty space into a stylish, welcoming, community-driven pub that Whitchurch can be proud of.
Alongside the modern interior, Tin Mill also features an outdoor area for customers to enjoy when the weather is right.
