Seven-figure transformation brings a huge new bar, live sport, interactive darts, private karaoke, photobooth and beer garden to Blue Boar Row

A former Pizza Hut in the heart of Salisbury has been completely transformed into a new pub and entertainment venue following a seven-figure investment, with Cooper & Co set to open its doors this October.
The Blue Boar Row building has been stripped back to brick and comprehensively rebuilt to create a pub that brings together great-value drinks, live sport and entertainment under one roof. Cooper & Co will officially open on Monday 5 October.
The transformation is dramatic. The former restaurant has been gutted, its internal layout completely redesigned and a new bar, cellar and trading areas created, alongside a huge new audio-visual system for live sport. There’s also a dedicated private karaoke room, interactive darts, photobooth and a brand-new beer garden, creating a venue designed as much for a big night out as it is for meeting friends for a pint and watching the match.
Sports fans will be able to follow the action across Sky Sports and TNT Sports, as well as major pay-per-view boxing events, with the extensive AV set-up allowing different sports and matches to be shown simultaneously. Football, rugby and darts will all feature prominently.

The bar will offer a broad range of draught beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and shooters, with a focus on choice and great value. Cask ale will also have a place on the bar, including beer from Salisbury’s own Hopback Brewery
Salle Wroblewski, Regional Director South at Amber Taverns, which owns Cooper & Co, said, “You really wouldn’t know this was once a Pizza Hut. We took the building virtually back to brick and have completely reimagined the space, from moving the staircases and creating a cellar to building the bar, karaoke room and a brand-new beer garden. We wanted to create something genuinely different for Salisbury, somewhere you can come in for a great-value pint, watch the football or rugby, get a group together for interactive darts, take over the karaoke room or make a whole night of it.
Paul Robinson who operates the pub with partner Denise Hawkin added, “Cooper & Co is all about bringing people together and having a good time. There’s a lot going on, and at its heart it’s a great community pub, a place to meet, socialise and enjoy a drink with friends.”
The private karaoke room will be available to hire, giving groups their own space to take to the microphone, while interactive darts adds another competitive social element to the venue. The newly created beer garden will provide further seating and outdoor drinking space, adding an entirely new dimension to the former restaurant site.

Cooper & Co is Amber Taverns’ first pub in Wiltshire, with the opening marking another step in the pub company’s move further into the south of England. Salle added, “We’re really excited to be opening our first Wiltshire pub in Salisbury. It’s a fantastic city and we’ve made a major commitment to this site because we believe Cooper & Co can become a really popular part of its social scene. We can’t wait to get the doors open and let people see the transformation for themselves.”
