We will continue to invest in Scotland as well as increasing spending across our existing estate.

2019 saw us open our first 3 pubs in Scotland and we have plans to continue opening pubs north of the boarder in 2020. We have opened the following pubs in Scotland during 2019.

The Northern Way, Paisley.
The Old Post Office, Coatbridge
The Imperial, Dumfries.

The investment in Scotland has resulted in 45 new jobs and we anticipate further investment will create over 100 new jobs in Scotland in 2020.

Amber Taverns Managing Director James Baer said;
“2020 offers us some great opportunities. We have plans to open at least 10 new pubs in the UK and we will invest nearly £3.5m in our existing pubs.”

Gary Roberts, Operations Director tells us;
“After the General Election and the ‘Get Brexit Done’ message by Boris Johnson – no matter what your political viewpoint is, no one can deny there has been an optimistic bounce and boost to the national moral.”

We are particularly proud of our history of investing in smaller towns than had, during recent times, seen a decline in investment. The positive impact we have had within these towns is encouraging to see.

Amber Taverns currently operate 154 pubs in the UK.
